Ongoing Research Programs

Current Study

In cooperation with the University of British Columbia, we are currently recruiting volunteers for a double blind, placebo controlled trial examining the effectiveness of a highly soluble dietary fiber in overweight and obese subjects.

We will be examining the effect of this natural health product on appetite, weight loss, body composition, blood glucose regulation and insulin. We will also be examining the effect of this ingredient on hormones and peptides that regulate blood glucose and appetite as well as its effects on bacterial populations in the colon.
